Paddy Pimblett Targets Ilia Topuria & Arman Tsarukyan After UFC 324 Title Fight vs Gaethje! (2026)

Get ready, fight fans, because Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett has his sights set on a monumental 2026! He's not just aiming to compete; he's planning to dominate, and he's making some bold predictions along the way.

On Thanksgiving, the UFC dropped a bombshell: Pimblett is slated to battle Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight title at UFC 324. This marks Pimblett's first shot at a UFC title, and he's clearly relishing the opportunity to silence his critics.

In a video shared by the UFC, Pimblett expressed his excitement, stating, "Me and Gaethje now for the world title." He acknowledges the inevitable chatter about the 'interim' status, but he's unfazed. He's heard it all before.

Pimblett reflects on his journey, recalling the constant doubts he's faced. From being told he wouldn't be ranked to facing predictions of early knockouts, he's used to the negativity. He knows that even if he wins, the narrative will shift. But he's ready.

He emphasizes how much he has evolved since his early days in the UFC. "People think I’m still the same fighter who came in and fought Vendramini back in September 2021, when I’m a whole different animal.”

Pimblett's UFC journey hasn't been without its challenges. Despite his immense popularity, some of his early performances drew criticism. His victory over Jared Gordon in 2022 was particularly controversial. However, Pimblett has since secured wins against Tony Ferguson, King Green, and Michael Chandler, though these also received mixed reactions.

But here's where it gets controversial... Pimblett's confidence is through the roof. He's not just aiming for a title; he's planning to make 2026 the biggest year of his life. He plans to take the interim title, then the undisputed title by defeating Ilia Topuria. And he's also calling out Arman Tsarukyan, whom he refers to as the "posh boy."

“2026 is going to be the biggest year of me life. I am coming for that interim title, then I’ll be making it the undisputed title when I come and beat Ilia Topuria up and take the undisputed title. And little posh boy [Arman Tsarukyan] — if he manages to fight in that time, because he likes sitting out and saying he’s got a sore back — if little posh boy fights in that time and keeps his ranking, I’ll punch his head in as well.”

UFC 324 is scheduled for January 24th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

What do you think? Will Pimblett live up to his ambitious plans? Do you agree with his assessment of his opponents, or do you see things differently? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
