The Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) has reached a significant milestone, marking its 10th anniversary with a celebration of its achievements and impact on the country's energy landscape.

Minister for Energy and Mineral Development, Ruth Nankabirwa, praised UNOC's professionalism and resilience, stating, "UNOC has shown an unwavering dedication to ensuring Ugandans reap the benefits of our natural resources."
She highlighted UNOC's involvement in key projects like Tilenga, Kingfisher, and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP), emphasizing their importance in building a competitive and sustainable energy sector.
"These projects are the backbone of our energy ambitions," Nankabirwa added.
However, the minister also acknowledged the critical role of President Museveni's leadership, which has been a driving force behind UNOC's growth.
"The president's vision has been instrumental in shaping UNOC's success," she said.
Nankabirwa further expressed gratitude to the Cabinet, Parliament, and shareholders for their support, and recognized the hard work of UNOC's Board, Management, and staff.
"Congratulations to UNOC on this remarkable journey. We look forward to the next chapter, where Uganda's energy sector continues to thrive and transform," she concluded.
